Dr. Scott Irwin, PhD, CTTS
Psychedelic Integration Psychologist
Dr. Scott is the Former Senior Minister, Staff Psychologist and Ayahuasca Facilitator at Soul Quest Ayahuasca Church of Mother Earth in Orlando, Florida. Soul Quest is considered to be one of the largest Ayahuasca churches in the world and has served medicine to over 20,000 individual members in the last 5 years. Dr. Scott was responsible for developing the pre & post-ceremony programs that featured over 26 weekly free integration-style groups. Programs included psycho-spiritual integration, Zen Buddhist Meditation (taught by a former Zen monk). Psychedelics in Recovery Groups, A Course In Miracles Study Group, Bhagavad Gita Integration Group, Jungian Insights Group, a Shadow Group, Transformational Breathwork Group, Creative Writing Circle, Buddhist Spiritual Studies, Help for Helpers (front line responders support group), Mother's Support group, Women's Only Group, and a weekly online Church service that received 1500 to 2000 weekly views.
Dr Scott received his training in extracting functional and nutritional information from his patients’ blood tests from Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Dicken Weatherby, a world-leading expert in Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis and author of the bestselling book “Blood Chemistry and CBC Analysis – Clinical Laboratory Testing from a Functional Perspective“ - a seminal text on the functional analysis of blood test results.
Since 2007, Dr. Scott has developed acclaimed tobacco cessation programs for the School of Medicine at the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Florida Department of Health/Tobacco Free Florida - in world-renown hospitals, federal community health centers, state correctional institutions, homeless shelters, substance abuse treatment centers, mental health facilities, local churches, community centers and corporate work-sites throughout Southern Florida.
He received his education in the treatment of tobacco use and addiction from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School - now Rutgers and from the Florida State University College of Medicine.
His work has helped thousands of smokers over the years, learn incredibly effective, proven strategies to quit using evidence-based, FDA-approved treatments combined with integrative medical principles.
Dr. Scott is the former Program Director for the UM/Keys AHEC Tobacco Cessation Program in Key West, Florida and the National Award-winning BeSmokeFree Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Services/Division of Family Medicine at the University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine.
He presently serves as National Chairman of the Membership Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for the Association for the Treatment of Tobacco Use and Dependence (ATTUD), an international organization that establishes standards for core competencies, training, and credentialing of tobacco treatment providers throughout the world. Dr. Scott is also a member of NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals.
Dr. Scott worked as a Functional Medicine Practitioner at the Medical Wellness Center in the Division of Complementary & Integrative Medicine at Miller School of Medicine University of Miami - focusing on Complementary and Integrative Medical Treatments which included:

Biomeridian testing (Electro-Dermal Testing) measuring the electrical resistance in acupuncture points,

Dr. Scott's work has incorporated Transpersonal Psychology and Psychedelic Integration with various modalities, including breathwork (Holotropic style) and the use of sacred ancestorial plant medicine such as Ayahuasca.
Ayahuasca is an entheogenic brew made by shaman out of the Ayahuasca vine and the Banisteriopsis caapi vine. The brew is used as a traditional spiritual medicine in ceremonies among the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin.
Dr Scott is an advocate for the Indigenous tribal Kichwa Community at Sacha Wasi - located in the Amazon Rainforest between two rivers about 30 minutes from Puyo, Ecuador.
His support has helped the Sacha Wasi community in numerous ways. Currently he has built the new "Sacha Wasi Tribal Learning Center - a school for the children and adults at Sacha Wasi and the neighboring tribal communities. The classes begin February of 2022.
The learning center a imported a professionally trained educator from the United States with over 15 years experience working in public & private schools with students from K-12. Subjects include: Kichwa, English & Spanish (reading, writing, spelling, counting and speaking), geography, and computer basics.
Donations from supporters of these "future protectors of the Amazon" donated over 25 laptops and desktop computers. Dr Scott spearheaded all the community-wide infrastructure improvements including the new high-speed satellite internet signal that will help open windows to the world for the students young and old.
Dr Scott helped finance and coordinate the complete upgrade of the electrical and plumbing infrastructure for the community. Now the families of the tribe, as well as the visitors to sacha wasi have clean, pure drinking water (both hot & cold water) from the tap!
New large supply lines bring clean, filtered water through out the 50 hector community. Economic development has come through the revenues gained from the Jungle Medicine Retreats. These new streams of revenue even support the sale of their artisan crafts which are shared through out their community.
